He’s just not that into you
The film starts with a scene where a little boy annoys a little girl and make her cry. The little girl’s mother told her that when men act like jerks, it means they like her. Continiueing with little scenes where women solaces each other, the narrator says why do we always make up excuses to feel better . Why no one except the fact that maybe “he’s just not that into you”
Years later, that little girl Gigi is now trying to find a true love. She’s naive a little bit and believes that all the things a man said is sincere. When she was waiting a call from her latest date, she went to a place where she can meet with the guy “coincidentally”. A friend of that guy understood the situation and explained Gigi what it means when a man does specific things for helping her. This talk made Gigi’s eyes open and her point of view to men changed. At the same time the guy who had a date with Gigi called her girlfriend who meets with Gigi’s friend’s husband in a supermarket.Later, the girlfriend and Gigi’s friend’s husband had an affair. Also, another friend of Gigi has problems with his boyfriend who doesn’t want to get married. All these conected stories are showing some facts about relationships eventually.
The best thing about the film is that you saw things that happened to you or someone around you. All the given statements and facts are true.Therefor, no one should miss that romantic comedy film.

Opinion Article
There were many discussions about who deserved the Oscar awards more. Some like The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, some like the story of a poor teenage. Before the ceremony, everyone was talking about it and putting forward an idea. When the ‘it’ night came, everyone was very excited and intense.
In the film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, the daughter of Daisy Williams reads her mother the diary of Benjamin Button who had born an old man who has diagnosed with several aged diseases at birth and thus given little chance of survival, but who does survive and gets younger with time. Daisy's grandmother was a resident at Benjamin’s home, which is where she first met Benjamin. Although separated through the years, Daisy and Benjamin remain in contact throughout their lives, reconnecting in their forties when in age they finally match up. The film has an extraordinary topic. As a result, you think it would be an interesting movie but it longs three hours which makes you feel bored after some time.
Slumdog Millionaire is the story of a boy who is at the age of 18 called Jamal Malik . He participated to a competition named "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" which is a very popular contest and known by many countries included Turkey. I used to watch that competition and enjoyed watching it. Therefore, I know how hard it is to win the biggest prize. You have to be wise and have liberal education. In addition, you have to be very calm during the competition. As Jamal, an orphan from the slums of Mumbai, continued giving correct answers, everybody got curious about his success. Since he is an uneducated poor boy, polices thought he is cheating or something. They arrested and interrogated him before the day that he would answer the last question. Jamal started to tell his life story and the places he went with his brother. In every adventures story he told, the audience and polices saw the answers of the questions in the stories. Meanwhile, he keeps trying to find his first love (Latika) and prove that being together is their destiny. He doesn’t quit fighting and the reason that he participates to the competition is to show Latika himself. In the end, when he show up on the Tv for answer the last question Latika sees her on the screen and escape from his husband who is a jerk to find Jamal.
Both movies are about love stories but have completely different topics. Benjamin Button is a surreal movie whereas Slumdog expresses the real life in Mumbai. Benjamin Button is a good example for high budget Hollywood movie. Brad Pitt and the main actors are very famous movie stars like we all see in the other Hollywood movies. On the other hand, Slumdog has normal people and kids from Mumbai which also lives in these very poor slum areas of Mumbai. There are nor famous or popular actors in this movie.
The only good thing about Benjamin Button is the main idea that his person lives his life reversely but it’s very long and the story doesn’t reflect a strong love. The opposite way round, in Slumdog the characters are very real, full of emotions and follow the voice of their heart. Even the bad character of the film, the big brother, sacrifices for his brother to help them run away at the end of the film.The Curious Case of Benjamin Button won awards in 3 different categories, while Slumdog Millionaire won 8. The Slumdog Millonaire had a cast of poor Indians and the film’s budget is approximately ten times less of the money that spent for Benjamin Button. The ironical situation is that probably the film publishers of Benjamin Button offered Brad Pittt million dollars but who wins millions and a priceless award is a slum. Looks like it isn’t all about money.

The Notebook
At the beginning of the film, an old man called Duke reads a love story from his notebook to a female fellow patient (Allie) in a nursing home. The story takes place in 1940s. It’s about two young lovers, who have different social statuses. Their passionate relationship fascinates you and makes you think that the love they have only exists in fairy tales. As Duke continues to tell the story, some visitors come to the nursing home. Allie doesn’t recognize these people, who keep begging Duke to come home. He insists on staying. At that moment of the film, we officially understood that the two young lovers in the story are Allie and Duke. Turns out, Allie has amnesia and Duke is reading her diary to her every single day to make her remember the memories they had. When Duke finishes the story, Allie remembers everything and they embrace in reunion. At the end of the story the nurse finds them in bed together, having both died peacefully holding each other's hands.
Across the Universe
An American rock musical that makes you live the 60’s while listening to The Beatles. The film is about an English boy, Jude, which goes to USA to find his father that he has never seen. However, when he reaches USA, he finds himself in a chaos; the Vietnam war, racism… Jude joins a group of friends that includes sister of Max, Lucy. They fall in love with each other, but the chaos effects them and they break up. Because Jude is an immigrant, he gets kicked out of the country and he’s sent back to his country. However, he can’t hold himself and decides to return to USA to find Lucy. They find each other at a rooftop concert, and they live happily ever after =)

Seven Pounds
What would you do if you cause seven people’s death? Could you live with that remorse? In the film Seven Pounds, the main character Ben Thomas (who has performed by Will Smith) cause an accident. Her wife and six teenagers died in this accident. Ben felt so guilty because of his mistake and he decided to give life to seven people by donate his organs to them. However, before that he observed the people he has chosen to see if they deserve that donation. While he was observing these people, something unexpected happened and he fell in love with one of them. It made the situation harder because he had to kill himself to save the woman he loves’ life. If you love dramatic movies, you better not miss that one.
